Looking to get rolled and splashed in a gentle environment? Our Introduction to Whitewater is great for families.  We will tackle three friendly rapids in Yoho National Park with lots of wildlife viewing opportunities.  This trip combines unbeatable value and fun into one morning and includes a Riverside BBQ Lunch. 

The Family Whitewater is best suited to:

• Families, and any group. No experience is required. Ages 4 & up
• Those looking for a day trip from Banff, Lake Louise, Radium, Invermere or Revelstoke
• A River Rafting Experience in Yoho National Park with Wildlife viewing opportunities
• A gentler alternative to our other Adventures. Three Family Friendly Rapids!

The Family Whitewater departs from the Alpine Rafting office at 9:30AM  and returns at 1:30 PM. Our Riverside BBQ Lunch is included.

Things To Bring

Please bring:

• Bathing suit
• Towel
• Fleece or wool sweater (not made of cotton)

We will provide all your river equipment, including Footwear

Why do I need to bring a sweater? Will it get wet?

We will provide you with a Wetsuit, Neoprene Boots, Goretex Spray Jacket, Lifejacket and Helmet. We also have neoprene gloves onboard for your comfort. However, you may want to bring a fleece or wool sweater to wear as an extra layer of warmth on top of the wetsuit but underneath the spray jacket. It will get wet.

This tour does not include transportation to our office.
The tour departs from our office in Golden, BC

Cancellation Policy

We will accept cancellations up until 72 hours prior to trip departure. Within 72 hours prior to departure, the 50% deposit is non refundable

When you book, we collect a 50% deposit to reserve your seats. The remaining 50% will be collected the evening prior to your trip departure. If for some reason you 'no-show' on the day of your trip, 50% of your deposit will be refunded to your credit, and the other 50% retained by Alpine Rafting.

Pickup/Departure

Golden BC is on Mountain Standard Time (Same as Alberta)

Please arrive at the Alpine Rafting office at 9:00 AM for an 9:30 AM Departure.
Transportation will be provided to and from the river.
Meet at our office on the Trans Canada Highway in Golden, British Columbia. GPS co-ordinates to our office are: N 51 18'04.0 W 116 42'45.7

IMPORTANT NOTE:

*We are on Mountain Standard Time, same as Alberta.

*There is MAJOR construction on the road between Golden and Calgary which has resulted in delays up to 1 hour or more!! Please visit www.drivebc.ca and www.ama.ab.ca/road_report/Mountain.htm to check delay times and adjust your schedule accordingly.

Directions to the Alpine Rafting Office from the east (Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise):

As you enter Golden on the Trans Canada Highway, on the left hand side there is a large sign for the "Golden Rim Inn". As you enter Golden on the Trans Canada Highway, on the left hand side there is a large sign for the "Golden Rim Inn". When you see this large sign, take the first right off the Trans Canada Highway, and onto Lafontaine Road. Turn left and proceed around the traffic circle and over the overpass to Goldenview Road. We are located on your right-hand side, in the cabin in between the Mechanic's Shop and the Golden Rim.

Directions to Alpine Rafting Office from the West (Vancouver, Kamloops, Revelstoke):

As you enter Golden on the Trans Canada Highway, continue through two sets of lights on the Highway. Continue past the turnoff into the town of Golden and stay on the highway. Continue up the hill for one kilometre. Just before cresting the hill, take a right onto Golden view Rd. We are located in a cabin between the Mechanic's Shop and the Golden Rim Inn.

The Balance of your payment will be taken the evening prior to your arrival.
